(Everything I do) I do it for you!

This was Inspired by the Bryan Adams song (Everything I do) I do it for you.

Watson lay on the sofa, he was covered in blood and Holmes was pacing franticly waiting for him to come round.

The moment Watson stirred Holmes rushed to his side and started fumbling about trying to soak a towel and gently pressed it to Watsons head. Holmes did this in silence for hours, every time Watson stirred Holmes found himself compelled to aid.

It took several nights for Watson to recover enough to even sit up and he began to feel much better. Holmes was still pacing and thinking deeply about what he would do.

“Watson...John? I have something to say to you and will you try to understand why I am saying it”

Watson found Holmes to be acting quite strange, not himself at all, but he nodded with agreement and listened intensely.

“I have decided I will no longer need or ever need your assistance again with this case or any other!”

Watson did not like what Holmes was trying to say, he was sounding very serious.

“I am sure you know I have been and I am very grateful for all your help, but after tonight.....”

Holmes hesitated and took a deep breath.

“Tonight John I thought I had lost you. I do not know what I would have done or would ever do if anything....”

He shook he head quite violently.

“You nearly died man!”

Holmes turned away and putting his face in his hands he burst into tears.

Watson found some strength and pushed himself up from the sofa. He limped over to Holmes and touched his arm. Holmes flinched away, but Watson had a lot more strength than he thought and managed to turn Holmes so they were facing.

“Sherlock if you look into my eyes, you will see how much you mean to me”

Holmes stopped hiding his dampened face and looked into Watsons eyes.

“Sherlock when you search you’re heart, search you’re soul and when you find me there you will search no more”

Holmes tries to protest to Watsons words, making Watson even more forceful.

“You cannot just tell me you’re not worth trying for”

Watson lets go of Holmes and places a hand to his cheek.

“You cannot tell me you’re not worth fighting for, you know it is true Sherlock that everything I do I do it for you”

Colour rushed to Holmes’s cheeks, making him move his head with embarrassment. Watson reacts quickly and brings his other hand to hold Holmes’s face.

“Now stop it and look into your heart, you will find there is nothing there you need to hide from”

Watson looked deeply into Holmes’s eyes.

“Please take me as I am, take all my life because I will give it all and I would sacrifice....”

Holmes pulled away as he realized Watson’s words had truth in them. He walked to the fire place and stared into its burning heat.

“Watson you cannot be serious? You know we should never pine...”

Once again Watson limps over to Holmes, this time with even more determination.

“No Sherlock no... You cannot tell me you’re not worth pining for and I just cannot help it that there is no one I want more”

Holmes feels his heart beating so vigorously he thinks it might burst from his chest.

“But Watson it is not true”

Watson could feel tears falling down his face as he tried to get Holmes to look at him again.

“You just cannot say that! You know it is true that everything I do I always do for you”

Holmes tries to protest, but Watson will not stop.

“There is no love quite like your love and no other could ever give me more love”

This time Holmes manages to look at Watson.

“John please you will be so much happier away from all of this... from me”

Watson found himself smile and shook his head.

“Sherlock there is nowhere unless you are there, all the time and all the way”

 “Oh Sherlock you need to stop telling me you’re not... we are not worth trying for and remember I will never be able to help the way I feel because there is nothing I will ever want more”

He took Holmes in both his arms and stared straight into his eyes.

“I will forever fight for you, even lie for you, walk the wire for you....and Sherlock I would for eternity ‘DIE’ for you”

At those very words Holmes reached forward and tenderly kissed Watson’s cheek, then pulled him in closer for a full embrace.

 Holmes closed his eyes with the pleasure and whispered into Watson’s ear.

“Do you know it is also true that everything I ever do I do for you?”
